LONDON October 12, 2007 – Trinsum today announced that Maury Shenk, former managing partner of the law firm Steptoe & Johnson, has joined the leadership team of its London office. Mr. Shenk will help develop and expand Trinsum’s unique integrated strategic and financial advisory practice.

Mr. Shenk joins Trinsum with 15 years experience as a lawyer on a wide variety of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, regulatory issues and disputes. He has advised companies in a variety of sectors, such as technology and telecommunications, financial services, oil and gas, and manufacturing, in Europe, North America and Asia.

"Maury brings a superb commercial and transactional background to Trinsum, as well as senior-level experience as manager of a professional services business," said Richard Kibble, Regional Managing Partner for the United Kingdom. "His skill set will be an extremely valuable addition to our management team as we build the Trinsum business."

Mr. Shenk worked in Steptoe & Johnson’s London office since 2001 and previously, in their Washington, D.C. office from 1993. He frequently speaks and writes on topics relating to technology and how it is regulated. Mr. Shenk also serves as a non-executive director of Still First Ltd, an early-stage communications company, as well as of seven wholly-owned European subsidiaries of Stratos Global Corporation, a North American satellite services provider. He was educated at Harvard College (A.B. in History and Science) and Stanford Law School. Mr. Shenk is proficient in French and Russian, and has a working knowledge of Spanish, Italian, German and Norwegian.
