We advise our clients in many different contexts. Some clients come to us because they are already performing well and want the most innovative, complete and holistic set of ideas and approaches to stay at the top of their game; others because they have not kept pace with their industry and need new ideas and ways of running their businesses to turn things around. Whatever the situation, our advice is always tailored to each client’s unique needs and circumstances. At the heart of our advice is an engagement model based on the following principles:

Accountability for Impact. We recognize that any consulting engagement represents an important investment of time and money on the part of our clients. We will not take on an assignment unless we are confident that our work will produce tangible results well in excess of our fees. We hold regular investment reviews with clients to review the quality of "inputs and outputs." We measure the results of our work by its impact on our clients’ top line, bottom line and capital market performance, as well as on their organizational capabilities. Our singular focus on value means that there is no ambiguity about the results we are aiming to produce.

Collaboration. We work with our clients in joint teams. By working together, our engagements develop commercial solutions that are uniquely tailored to each client’s circumstances and owned by the client’s organization. We believe that this collaborative and flexible approach is the only way to make constructive change happen in large organizations and, more importantly, the only way to make it stick.

Serving as an Organizational Catalyst. Our experience tells us that "the answer" to most companies’ issues resides within their own organization. It is rare that outsiders can bring genuine industry knowledge or insight that does not exist within a company – and if they can it is even rarer that your company will be the first it is shared with. We believe that the most valuable contribution any outside adviser can bring is the ability to lead the discovery process from within the client’s organization, bringing together the information and insight that lie inside the company to produce real change. We bring pace, rigor and creativity to help clients leverage their own knowledge and skills to produce great solutions.

End-to-end Support. Without the right focus and energy on performance delivery, even the best strategy can end up gathering dust. For us, impact means "delivery and results," not "study and recommend." We help our clients develop the best possible solutions for addressing their business issues and then support them in managing the change process required to deliver the best possible results.

Building Lasting Capabilities. In our view, the way a company makes decisions has as big an impact on its performance as the decisions it ultimately makes. Accordingly, as well as designing our work to help our clients identify the best strategies and courses of action, we also work with them to build new capabilities and put in place new standards for decision-making – capabilities and standards that last long after the engagement ends.
